A push by Republican attorneys general in 17 states to strike down part of a federal law that protects disabled people from discrimination has prompted an outcry from advocates, parents and some local officials.The GOP-led lawsuit targets certain protections for transgender people. NEW ORLEANS 鈥?New Orleans police have arrested a black man in the fatal shooting of a Black Lives Matter activist known for his leap through police tape to try to seize a Confederate battle flag during a demonstration last year in South Carolina.A Crimestoppers tip helped them identify 26-year-old Roosevelt Iglus as a suspect in the death of 32-year-old Muhiyidin Elamin Moye, better known as Muhiyidin dBaha, police said in a news relea stanley website se Wednesday.Iglus, who was on probation after pleading guilty in 2016 to illegally carrying a stanley website weapon and possessing marijuana, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of second-degree murder.
